Housekeeper

Location: Florida Divisional Headquarters, Lutz, FL

Position Type: Regular Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $12.00 – $13.00/hr

About this opportunity:

Performs a variety of housekeeping duties for Divisional Headquarters; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the facility on a daily basis; assists in the preparation for special events and meals held at Divisional Headquarters.


Key responsibilities:

  • Cleans kitchen and dining area; washes dishes; cleans and defrosts refrigerator; cleans stoves and ovens; stocks and sorts pantry items. Organizes and maintains pantry and storage areas. Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors; sweeps stairwells. Cleans windows, dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures. Empties office shredder trash regularly.

 

  • Assists in the preparation, serving, and clean-up of special events and meals held at Divisional Headquarters. Ensures Chapel is prepared for Wednesday morning’s chapel. Assists in setting up meeting rooms; sets up tables and chairs; puts ice in glasses and sets out drinks. Keeps stairwells clean by sweeping daily and mopping weekly or as needed.  Run vacuum when needed.

 

  • Carries out assigned daily work orders. Monitors and informs facilities of lights that are out and need replacing. Keeps kitchen and Board Room clean, sanitized, and orderly.  General kitchenware and clean up excluded..

What we are looking for in you:

No formal education or experience required, one year experience performing general housekeeping duties and six months experience cooking or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping and minor maintenance work. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
