About this Position: 

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, delegating, and implementing all marketing activities for The Second City New York. This role will manage The Second City New York’s brand presence in the community, manage campaigns to attract audiences & and students, and coordinate with team members to ensure a superior experience and desire to return. 

The Second City New York Senior Marketing Manager will support the following areas within The Second City marketing department and be broken up as follows: 

  • Entertainment 40% 

  • Education 40% 

  • Local brand 20%

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and coordinate all marketing campaigns for the stages, training center classrooms, and The Bentwood restaurant. 

  • Design and manage all communications, including ongoing email marketing messages, creation of special project campaigns, writing and/or editing all press releases, and generating social media content.  

  • Organize and promote brand awareness through advertisements, sponsorships, and earned media.  

  • Manage relationships with community and business partners. 

  • Maintain a marketing calendar for all efforts and all business units. 

  • Ensure all marketing collateral are organized, accurate, and maintain brand integrity, 

  • Identify and recommend promotional partnerships and influencers for Stages, Training Center, and restaurant that align with our brand and target buyers. 

  • Respond to data from Marketing campaigns, website, ticket sales, etc. 

  • Lead the SCNY Marketing efforts with support from art, digital, and production teams.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4-6 years in a marketing role; entertainment or brand experiences a plus  

  • Knowledge of multichannel marketing strategy, including event planning and coordination, branding and digital marketing 

  • Experience tracking a budget 

  • Strong writing and editing skills and a passion for maintaining brand guidelines and a cohesive voice across all internal and external content 

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects 

  • Possess leadership and management skills to delegate tasks and manage expectations regarding deadlines, prioritization, and deliverables of team members 

  •  

Proficiency with: 

  • Email marketing software 

  • Social media 

  • Microsoft Office Suite 

  • CRM database software 

 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the VP of Marketing and the General Manager of Second City New York. Regular business hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. However, some early morning, evening and weekend work may be required occasionally. 

Salary: $75,000 - $95,000
