Purpose

 

Successfully lead Ravago Manufacturing Americas’ Operations and Engineering teams in order to support long term strategic plans.  Oversee all aspects of Ravago’s manufacturing process, facilities, equipment, technology, and workforce resources.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks  

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below:

 

  1. Operations Management
  1. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness. 
  2. Collaborate with business partner(s) such as engineering, supply chain and quality assurance to guarantee highly functioning and cost effective operation while ensuring superior product quality.
  3. Responsible for management oversight and supervision of Operations and Engineering staff including the day-to-day prioritization of workload, establishment and achievement of KPI’s and performance targets.
  4. Prepares and presents regularly scheduled “Operations Reviews” at the plants and to leadership as directed
  5. Leads and oversees all aspects of human capital responsibilities to include but not limited to: workforce/staff planning, hiring and training, performance management & feedback, employee development, merit & bonus planning and employee retention and engagement.
  6. Works in conjunction with Environmental Health & Safety to ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations
  7. Uses best in class solutions available in the market to identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve manufacturing operations at the shop-floor level at all RMA sites

 

  1. Financial Planning/Forecasting
  1. Establishes and ensures annual manufacturing operating budget is met
  2. Lead and manage capital improvement projects is excess of $10MM to ensure alignment with CAPEX & OPEX budgets

 

  1. Project Management
  1. Ensures work processes are applied appropriate in order to achieve the project goals
  2. Initiating, monitoring and updating the master project schedule
  3. Identifying and taking corrective actions (with appropriate approval) to ensure the project goals for cycle time, cost and quality are met

 

  1. All other duties as assigned by V.P.& G.M. of RMA

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  1. Will have direct responsibility for Indirect Procurement Manager, Engineering Manager and all Plant Managers and others as assigned.

 

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA)

To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of observable behaviors and essential knowledge, skill, and abilities required of a successful incumbent within our culture.           

  1. In depth knowledge of plastics compounding and recycling technical principals,  to include but not limited to: twin screw, single screw and continuous mixer
  2. Proven communication skills (verbal and written) with a demonstrated ability to establish relationships and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders at various levels within and outside of RHA.
  3. Ability to manage complex projects to ensure on time completion, quality of excellence and ensure alignment with CAPEX & OPEX budgets.
  4. Capable of developing tactical plans and seeking on-going continuous improvement goals that support larger organizational strategic objectives.

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  1. Education:
  1. Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering, Management, or Manufacturing, Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  2. Lean / Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred)
  3. Project Management Training (PMP certification preferred)
  1. Experience:
  1. 10+ years of previous experience in a similar role to include plastics compounding and recycling experience
  2. 10+ years of technical and financial staff supervisory experience
  3. 10+ years of manufacturing experience
  4. 10+ years of project management experience

 

           3. License/Certifications

    1. Valid driver’s license- required

            4.Language:

    1. Proficiency in English required
    2. Bi-Lingual-Spanish is a plus

             5. Cultural Experience:

    1. Global/International experience preferred
    2. Similar size organization preferred

 

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore

Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

        1. May be required to travel to office locations in the USA as well as other countries based on the business needs.
