KI is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Bonduel Manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for strategy and delivery of HR services in the areas of recruitment, performance management, compensation, organizational development, safety, legal compliance, policy and procedure development and general day to day HR issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations (25%)
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures including handbook review and revisions.
    • Assist managers with performance management, discipline and team building opportunities ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
    • Develop and oversee strategic employee programs.
    • Serve as lead investigator for harassment, discrimination and other claims/complaints.
    • Manage LOA's, accommodation requests and legal claims.
    • Represent the organization at hearings.
    • Coordinate employee recognition efforts including budgeting and administration.
    • Develop and coordinate performance review process.
    • Coach and counsel technicians, coordinators and managers as needed.
    • Assist with the development, implementation, evaluation and communication of KI strategy, policies, procedures and initiatives.
    • Coordinate, communicate and assist with evaluation of goal sharing.
    • Synergize and provide support to local KI plants and corporate HR as needed.
  • Recruitment (20%)
    • Strategize and coordinate the recruitment of corporate and plant staff for plant.
    • Coordinate sourcing of candidates including advertisements, job fairs and educational relationships.
    • Plan, conduct and direct staffing functions which include developing sources of qualified applicants, conducting interviews, checking references, evaluating applicant qualifications, coordinate drug testing, determining best qualified candidate and onboarding for new employees.
    • Fulfill various staffing requirements ranging from high seasonal staffing, 3rd party agencies, immigration and relocation as needed.
    • Develop and maintain job descriptions that accurately depict the essential functions, knowledge and strategy of the organization.
  • Safety (20%)
    • Develop and coordinate safety initiatives including awareness, compliance, incentives and enforcement.
    • Conduct regular risk analysis of injuries, first aids and near misses.
    • Provide strategy on mitigating risks.
    • Provide on-call case management for worker's compensation and return to work programs.
    • Ensure legal compliance with OSHA in regards to policies, training and recordkeeping.
    • Conduct regular audits and hazard assessments.
    • Oversee safety team and first responder programs.
  • Organizational Development/Training (10%)
    • Forecast needs of organization and employee career development.
    • Develop and deliver course offerings.
    • Schedule and/or conduct various training sessions throughout the year including but not limited to mandatory safety topics, goal sharing and legal compliance.
    • Track and maintain training in the HRIS.
  • EEOC/Affirmative Action Compliance (10%)
    • Maintain knowledge on Affirmative Action and EEO laws and regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action practices and procedures.
    • Ensure timely completion of Affirmative Action plan.
    • Provide strategy for achieving goals identified in AAP including outreach.
  • Miscellaneous (10%)
    • Coordinate and assist with continuous improvement culture through lean initiatives and leadership development.
    • Backup Operations Manager and General Manager as needed.
    • Complete projects as assigned to meet business objectives.
    • Assist in the acquisition and transfer of new product lines by providing legal guidance and pursuing grants and other financial incentives.
  • Compensation (5%)
    • Develop and manage the plant compensation program.
    • Obtain market salary date review internal equity to ensure plant technician wage remains competitive.
    • Advise managers on compensation in regards to transfers, promotions, and demotions.
    • Coordinate and implement compensation adjustments accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • At least 2 years of human resources and/or leadership required with proven progressive responsibilities
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification(s) preferred
