KI has an immediate opening for a K-12 Education Specialist that will work to reinforce KI’s brand and market leadership through direct relationships with targeted end users, Architecture and Design firms, thought leaders, and media. This individual will cover territory on the West Coast, ideally living in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, or a nearby location.  You will work from your home office and travel frequently (approximately 30% of the time) to assist KI’s field Sales Specialists market our products in the K-12 marketplace.  

 

This position will: 

 

  • Provide market intelligence to field Sales Specialists on various subject matters including future of learning and learning styles, assessment of learning space tools, and emerging trends in the market including product, application, space allocation and technology. 
  • Provide market expertise in client engagements as an influencer and catalyst for account growth. 
  • Support strategic marketing and product initiatives by building relationships with external thought leaders, and collaborate with campus planning including consultants, administrators, architects and designers, facility personnel and technology experts.
  • Provide applicable research, insights and best pract6ices that support the selling process within the market.

    

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in education, business or related field and at least five years working within a k-12 institution, preferably as a member of the faculty, facilities, capital planning, or purchasing department.  

 

Qualifications include and Candidates should have: 

  • A general understanding of administrative practices and decision-making processes within a k-12 school and/or district. 
  • An understanding and/or exposure to the purchasing and procurement process within a school system (contract furniture preferred) 
  • A working knowledge of general learning and teaching styles, pedagogies, and best practices in K-12, as well as experience working with leadership/management across an institution.  
  • Good oral and written communication skills and feel comfortable presenting to end-user groups.  

Your achievements will be recognized and rewarded with a generous compensation plan with base salary between $80 and $100k plus bonus.
