Harris Beach is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to, perform financial analysis on various segments of the legal business. You will thrive in this role if you have

 

  • 5-10+ years of related financial analysis and reporting experience and/or training
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. A CPA or MBA in Finance is desired
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access) to extract and manipulate date and solve business issue requests
  • Exposure to report writers and an interest in developing a deeper understanding to produce various reports and solve business issues
  • Expert comfortability using computer assisted financial resources and report writers
  • Sound independent judgment; the ability to manage competing priorities and the ability to multi-task
  • A professional, cooperative, positive, and flexible attitude
  • Superior oral and written communication skills

 

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the analysis of the firm’s offices, departments clients, and individual attorney practices. Do you have the drive and desire to:

 

  • Prepare reports, charts, and tables as requested for the monthly membership financial package.  This will include gathering and compiling all the necessary data
  • Maintain and distribute monthly routine reporting for attorneys, Directors and others with the information necessary to make informed business decisions regarding various facets of the firm
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and reforecast process as needed
  • Prepare and distribute FTE and headcount reports
  • Maintain timekeeper and employee databases
  • Complete payroll reconciliation and prepare adjusting entries as needed
  • Make recommendations to firm management on how to move business ahead based on the information generated and analyzed
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
  • Perform other financial analysis and reporting functions as outlined by the Chief Financial Officer or Senior Manager of Financial Analysis and Reporting
