Description: Prepare a wide variety of business-based nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, E, and O-1) and immigrant (employment and family-based) petitions. Assist clients with PERM application process. Assist with applying for work visas with U.S. consular offices abroad. Work closely with our clients to provide comprehensive immigration services. Compile and maintain records of immigration filings, other documentation and records of activity on behalf of clients. Review immigration regulations and be able to apply them to various case scenarios. Perform research using all available immigration research tools including government agencies' websites.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare forms and correspondence;

  • Write detailed and complex supporting argumentation

  • Work closely with clients to gather and organize supporting documentation, and case administration.

  • Prepare filings for relevant federal and state agencies;

  • Conduct research of immigration law and procedures;

  • Prepare draft correspondence and memoranda;

  • Enter case information into case management system; and

  • Track the status of filings and inform the client and attorney of any follow up that may be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication;

  • Superior writing/editing skills for complex support letters and strong computer skills;.

  • Must be highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast-paced environment;

  • Preferred: experience with employment-based and family-based immigration filings, such as H-1B, L-1, TN, E-1, E-2, O-1, R-1, PERM, I-140 and I-485 filings.

  • Experience with MS Office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources required

  • Maintains high standards of performance

  • Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility

  • Must have a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude

  • Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization

  • Exhibits strong oral and written communications skills

  • Thorough command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style

  • Ability to compose professional correspondence
