The Senior Sales Account Manager will be responsible for developing sales, delivering insight, and managing key initiatives for current domestic customers across all industries.  This role will interact with other Sales Representatives, Plant Personnel, Accounting/Credit, Marketing and Transportation staff, as well as Penreco® management.


Key Deliverables:

  • Deliver sales goals (volume and margin) for Penreco® products

  • Follow product line pricing strategy and extract maximum return based on the value of products to each customer

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales results (volume and margin) exceeding yearly targets

  • Prepare and present quotes based on the total value of the offer, including differentiating features, transportation, freight, import/export and all other related services

  • Develop sales & product approvals and manage key accounts for domestic customers

  • Prepare reports as required my management

  • Act as liaison for the customer’s product development and/or quality staff

  • Assist in the development, quality and operations in the initial establishment and maintenance of customer specifications

  • Position requires extensive travel (40% or more) and is on call for troubleshooting at customer locations

  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the sales, business and market development field, such as call reports, opportunity pipelines and key account management

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company.

  • Proficiency in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Strategic and creative thinking skills


Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 5 years sales and distribution management or equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Valid Driver’s License


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Personal Care or Pharma sales

  • Experience selling technical products or chemistry background
