We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Carthage, TX office.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance at our Carthage  Compressor Station. Will be required to comply with all Company, DOT, OSHA, and Environmental rules and regulations. Learn the Company OMS process for documenting job functions as required.  Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, one calls and pipeline pigging. This position will also be responsible for performing all assigned construction duties as well as preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, corrosion control, and right of way maintenance. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. In this role, you will also be responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures as associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances Occasionally required to perform unscheduled or emergency work. Position will be required to learn to operate the Carthage Compressor Station. Individual will need to be self-motivated and work with limited supervision and when qualified, participate in the On-Call duties, and respond to call outs, as necessary.

Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST Monday – Friday, however this position is subject to occasional schedule adjustments as needed. The successful candidate for this position will be required to live within 30 miles of the Carthage Compressor Station.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacture’s guidelines. 
  • Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 ft. in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy and wet environments. 
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record is required and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
  • Must have strong commitment to personal and team safety.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

 

  • Technical School/College
