CADD/Project Assistant

SES Civil and Environmental LLC (SCE) is growing! We are seeking a talented CADD/Project Assistant to join our dynamic SCE team, a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH). The candidate should have at least 5 years of design experience in Federal Government Construction with/for the Department of Defense and/or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to include construction, civil earthwork design, civil roadway design, and site modeling. The candidate must also be familiar with current industry standards and practices. An advanced degree is not required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in processing raw data through relevant software such as Civil 3D Design and MicroStation
• Able to use Civil 3D Design, MicroStation and Revit to modify drawings.
• Prepare drawings to include calculating volumes and quantities from raw survey data. 
• Design and draft a wide variety of construction type elements such as architectural, civil, mechanical, structural, and environmental projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other project team members for specific design plans and specification requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for various types of construction projects and proposals using on-screen and manual take-off tools based on an accurate reading of blueprints, geotechnical reports, requests for proposals, and related documents and transfer data into software for review with others.
• Understand the surveying process and be able to communicate with surveyors and construction crews on a regular basis.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work directly with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and other entities and present themselves in a professional manner. 
• Logically plan successive work activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to utilize the available time to organize and complete tasks within given deadlines.
• Perform tasks with limited day-to-day management support.   

Qualifications

• High School Diploma w/ CAD Training
• Possess the basic skills to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results. 

Physical Requirements

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about. Near visual acuity to review documentation, ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Working Environment

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. 

Compensation

$55,000 - $75,000 yearly
