Aerostar SES LLC (ASL) is growing! We are seeking a driven Environmental Assistant Project Manager to join ASL. In this critical role, you'll assist, and oversee the construction of air sparge and soil vapor extraction and/or other types of remediation systems. This includes operating small to medium-sized heavy equipment to conduct trenching, installing piping, integrity testing, connecting pumps, flowmeters, sensors, installing concrete, etc. This position provides the opportunity to learn a wide variety of valuable skills and gain immense experience in the field of environmental consulting. Responsibilities

  • Learn and conduct operation and maintenance of operating remediation systems including collecting well data and air samples for the evaluation of the operating system.
  • Troubleshoot remediation system or tripped sensor alarm problems.
  • Perform pilot tests for remediation systems.
  • Conduct groundwater, soil, and air sampling.
  • Assist in preparing reports for remediation systems including tables, figures, laboratory analysis, etc.
  • Communicate with project managers and engineers regarding remediation system efficiency, problems, and possible solutions.
  • Learn the fieldwork required to install, operate, and maintain remediation systems progressing towards running crews, designing systems, engineering advancement, and project management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • US work authorization.
  • Basic knowledge of groundwater, soil remediation, and site assessment activities.
  •  Ability to prepare and write environmental reports.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to travel to project sites.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.

Physical Requirements

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Near visual acuity to review documentation, ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Working Environment

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.  Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Compensation

$40,000-$70,000
