The American Trucking Associations (ATA), the nation’s leading trade and lobby association representing the trucking industry, is actively seeking an engaging and collaborative Client Relationship Specialist


As the Client Relationship Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling ATA's commitments to Allied Members participating in ATA's Corporate Partner Program and additional sponsorships and activities within the Sales & Marketing Department. Your primary responsibility will be to promote the benefits of ATA membership and event sponsorship on a national scale to ATA members engaged in the Corporate Partner program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce membership benefits and sponsorship opportunities to prospects through effective needs satisfaction routines.
  • Collaborate with Allied Members to develop marketing materials, ensuring adherence to deadlines and specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between the membership department and end-users, supporting the Director, Business Development, and VP, Business Development & Membership Sales.
  • Edit and produce various membership marketing materials, including webinars, Truckline.com member pages, Member Resource Guide, contracts, updates, ATA Chairman’s Handout, and Quarterly ATA Issues Update.
  • Respond to staff, member, and prospect data-related inquiries as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet of all marketing opportunities available through ATA.
  • Provide weekly external and/or internal data reporting for the Sales & Marketing Department and member accounts.
  • Generate monthly reports monitoring billing and payment for Allied Marketing activities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned vendor accounts at various ATA meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required by membership business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Relevant Experience: BS/BA degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience required.
  • Familiarity with Association Management Systems, membership database systems, or complex relational databases is preferred.
  • General knowledge of trade associations or professional societies is a plus.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in relational databases, MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with TIMSS and SQL Enterprise Manager is advantageous.
  • Strong professional, customer service, and communication skills are essential.
