Maintenance Manager - Winamac, IN
Specify maintenance plan and strategy for each equipment system. Elements of the plan should include predictive maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, inspection & monitoring activities, spare parts requirements, and organizational requirements.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Review and analyze the execution of the maintenance plans and performance metrics on at least a monthly basis. The performance metrics should include OEE, downtime data, etc. Develop action plans to address issues.
Effectively implement and manage a true Total Productive Maintenance system.
Coordinate activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas or air required for operations.
Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers and external contractors.
Improve operating metrics through TPM blitzes, kaizen events, capital projects, standardized work, visual management, and other lean tools.
Develop an operating culture which promotes involvement, communication, expectations, accountability, and a passion for excellence. Drive ownership for the maintenance system to the maintenance personnel.
Provide management and oversight to environmental activities and reporting.
Assess, train, and develop competencies within the maintenance organization.
